Business Professionals of America is a national career and technical student organization consisting of 23 state associations and more than 54,000 members. The organization serves students who are currently, or were previously enrolled, in a business education program at a secondary or postsecondary institution.

VERGAS, MN. Vergas, MN, based company, The PaulNet Group, LLC, has recently acquired all assets owned by PaulNet Communcations, and sister-company, paulnet | designs. Owner, Paul Haarstick, was tapped to take the lead of the new company as Chief Manager.

"I'm really excited to take on this new opportunity to grow and expand the business. This move will show our resolve to our customers to continue to provide high quality service." said Haarstick.

PaulNet Communications is a technology solution provider headquatered out of Vergas, MN. Solution specialities inlude web hosting, website design, and computer repair. In February 2008, it was fully acquired by The PaulNet Group, LLC.

The PaulNet Group, LLC, is a privately owned Limited Liability Company dedicated to providing a diverse technology-based business solutions to companies and individuals in Northwestern Minnesota.

Owner Elected State BPA President

ALEXANDRIA, MN. Alexandria Technical College student Paul Haarstick was recently elected by his peers to serve as 2007-2008 state president for Minnesota BPA, College Division at the 2008 Professional Development Conference..

On October 22 and 23, Paul and about 30 other BPA members from the Alexandria Technical College attended the 2008 Professional Development Conference at Arrowwood Resort in Alexandria, MN. There the students attended workshops focused on reducing work place stress, professional dress, and job seeking skills. Local chapter officers also attended Chapter Officer training.

Business Professionals of America is a student organization for students enrolled in the Business Technology and Compuer Science divisions. There are 300 members from 10 chapters in Minnesota, and there are over 50,000 members nation wide in all divisions. For more information: http://www.bpa-mn.org.

Alexandria Technical College is a premier two-year technical college located in central Minnesota. State Leadership Conference Results

VERGAS, MN. PaulNet Communications, a web hosting, web site design, and computer repair services company in Northwestern Minnesota, is proud to announce the accomplishments of its Operations Manager, Paul Haarstick, at the MN College Division BPA State Leadership Conference in Mankato, MN.

"BPA is a very rewarding organization to be a part of, and I'm really excited that I will be able to advance to nationals in New York City in May. I can hardly wait!" said Paul Haarstick when asked about the competition. Advisor Dave Hart stated that, "Eighteen students participated in the competitions, participating in 82 events and bringing home 68 medallions or plaques. Fifteen of the eighteen students qualified to attend the national competition to be held in NYC May 9-14. We [Advisors Dave Hart and Mavis Pattee] are very pleased to be bringing such a professional group of students to represent Alex Tech in New York."
